HID (high intensity discharge) bulbs provide motorists with the benefit of improved light output that regular automotive bulbs.
Benefit of HID for factors and motorists
The crisper, whiter light colour temperatures of 4100K and output of 3200 lumens help motorists see road signs and obstacles more clearly. HIDs are no longer expected to last the lifetime of the car. With the average lifespan of 3 years, many manufacturers have adapted HID technology to lower voltages in D3 and D4 references. This has created an excellent and profitable upsell opportunity for motor factors and installers.
