Failure of the MOT emissions segment will result in a car being declared unfit for the road. This can lead to a costly replacement and re-test before it can be passed as roadworthy. Meanwhile, removal of the catalytic converters (CATs) and diesel particulate filters (DPFs) from the exhaust assembly if originally fitted from new, is illegal and cause a vehicle to fail the MOT.
Klarius recommends the use of CATs, DPFs and exhausts that meet EU emission standards through the type-approval process. This will help to ensure that a vehicle passes the emissions section of the MOT.
Emission components by Klarius are type-approved by independent bodies such as the VCA and TÜV so that they can attain the performance and efficiency levels of the OE part. Furthermore, Klarius’ ‘Fit First Time’ guarantee, alongside the corresponding fitting kits help save time in the installer’s workshop.
