Earlier this year, we launched the Action Pact challenge – an adrenaline-filled campaign to get active, eat healthier and raise money for Sport Relief. The Leaderboard Triathlon presented the perfect opportunity to do exactly that.
Hosted by the Leaderboard founders at Cisco, we will be among 1,000 participants from 30 other companies in the most connected Triathlon ever. And if that wasn’t challenging enough, we’ll also be taking on British sporting legends including, Austin Healey, Roger Black, Will Carling, Will Greenwood and Steve Backley.
Give it a Tri!
Leaderboard is a triathlon with a twist; completed as a team of 6, it is a perfect event for both novices and seasoned triathletes alike. Whilst it is the ideal distance for beginners to give it a go, pros can challenge themselves against the clock.
How it works...
As pictured below, each team completes 6 laps of the course, with a single lap made up of a 200m swim, a 5.2km cycle and a 1.5km run. In total, each team will swim 1.2km, cycle 31.2km and run 9km.
All of the money raised from the event will go towards supporting Sport Relief; a fantastic charity promoting physical and mental health and education, both here in the UK and in some of the poorest communities across the world. You can get behind FPS teams by supporting this fantastic cause, simply head over to our Sport Relief page.
Our Virtual Branch Relay
Over the course of the year, the miles we cover in both the Leaderboard triathlon and individual challenges will go towards our virtual relay from Cardiff to Glasgow, calling at every FPS location along the way. If we successfully reach this aim, the company will turn the miles into pounds for Sport Relief. Our efforts in the Leaderboard Triathlon will take us 130 miles closer to this goal.
