The first Super Branches were launched in 2015 to create a greater depth of product range and allow branches to hold more stock closer to customers. This has allowed us to increase the same-day availability of many of our products to our customers.
Reading’s new status as a Super Branch follows a review of its storage space. This has involved investment in more racking and the more efficient use of the space available which has allowed for investment in additional local stock. The branch now has approximately 47,000 part numbers and 74,000 units of stock worth £1.4 million.
As a Super Branch, Reading will now be able to provide motor factors with more products via our same-day delivery service. This will therefore allow us to provide a better service to all our customers that are served by the Reading branch.
Dave Dainton, Reading’s Branch Manager, said: “Reading’s new status as a Super Branch allows us to invest in our customers by investing in ourselves. Customer service is our top priority. We hope that, by increasing our same-day stock availability, we will be able to provide a better and more reliable service to our customers.”
