Six branches took part trying to keep the wheels spinning on exercise bikes based in Stratford upon Avon, Birmingham, Barking, Preston, Manchester and Bristol all day, from start of business at 8.30am to close of business at 5.30pm (some branches started earlier and finished later.)
Regular updates were shown on communications screens at 22 branches around the country recording how many miles each branch had covered, who was in the lead and how long there was to go! All branches came alive ringing through with regular updates and posting them on the intranet.
Every mile covered, FPS is turned into pounds for sport relief. In total the business covered 604 miles! Between 6 branches this was an impressive achievement, especially since this was factored into everyone’s usual working day. Birmingham had only 8 men in their team and cycled over 100 miles between them. Employees also came to work dressed in their sports gear or as their favorite sporting hero, adding to the atmosphere and excitement on the day.
It was absolutely incredible to see people at every level of the company getting involved and putting in the miles for sport relief the van drivers, telesales teams, accounts, IT, Marketing and the Directors all went the extra mile to keep the wheels spinning and raise as much as possible for Sport Relief.
FPS also had a number of employees running the Sport Relief mile on Sunday 27th March in Stratford, Leamington and across the UK.
FPS has now raised £7088.01 for Sport Relief. This includes Managing Director Neil Davis’ total who has received some generous sponsorship from our suppliers such as £1200.00 from First Line, £1000.00 from Kilen, £1000.00 from Klarius, £250.00 from Comma Oil and £50.00 from BGA.
