Our Parkway Rise warehouse extension is progressing well and is due to be completed in August. Construction of this extension started in October last year with the aim of providing valuable storage space to ease the pressure on the existing Parkway Rise warehouse and those at Grange Mill Lane.
The building has a total footprint of 15,000 ft2, and will provide an extra 45,000 ft2 across three floors. The additional space will be used for the storage of various new and current product lines.
Duane Trower, Director of Logistics, said: “The additional space offered by the extension will be invaluable to FPS both in the short term and going forward.
“We are gaining a considerable amount of extra storage space and the extension signals an exciting time for FPS as the business continues to grow and develop.”
Below is a short video showing the inside of the warehouse.

In addition, our bulk storage facility at Grange Mill Lane will soon benefit from very narrow aisles (VNA), complemented by the introduction of three brand new narrow aisle trucks. This will ensure that the operation has everything needed to maximise the storage space available.
On completion of this project, we expect the narrow aisles to create over 4,000 additional pallet spaces, with efficient access to products throughout the facility. It will also give our team at Grange Mill Lane the tools they need to work as efficiently as possible to help provide our customers with the best possible service.
This extension and the increased number of VNAs are key additions to our operations in Sheffield. Alongside these changes, we are continuing to develop our internal structures and processes to ensure that we are best aligned to the demands of the ever-changing market.
We look forward to these developments coming into operation as the business continues to grow and develop.
