360° initiative introduces new parts

The 360° initiative continues to research, source and add new products; typically non-core, traditionally ‘dealer only’ or ‘hard to find’ parts.

The 360° initiative has now added a whole array of products into the FPS portfolio, including 30 Ford-specific niche parts, a range of sliding door roller guides and a clutch release fork for Citroën applications, to name a few.

Ford-specific niche parts

30 products have been introduced to fill a number of Ford-specific gaps within the portfolio. These products are fast-sellers, known to be in high demand but not readily available through mainstream suppliers. The inclusion of these parts offers customers an alternative to purchasing from main dealerships, whilst maintaining OE quality.

Included in the product offering are filters that fit the popular 2014 Ford Transit. As a commercial vehicle, the additional mileage they tend to do requires the replacement of filters more frequently than privately owned vehicles, sometimes before aftermarket parts have even been released.

Whilst the vehicles are also still under warranty, these parts are difficult to come by outside of main dealerships. Also included in the new to range products are spark plugs fitting applications that range from Ford Focus III 1.0 EcoBoost (02/2012>) to Ford Transit Connect Box 1.0 EcoBoost (11/2013>). As service parts that are currently unavailable in the aftermarket, we are providing OE parts at competitive prices to the market.

Range highlights include:
1882099-O – Fuel filter
1835546 – Spark plug
1770305 – Spark plug

These parts are listed on MAM Autocat+ and the F:Drive.

Clutch Release Fork

A new clutch release fork, part number 6429 (OE number 211761) has been introduced to fill a previous gap within the range. The part covers popular applications, such as Citroën C2 & C3 (2003>) and Citroën C4 (2004>).

A failing clutch release fork can itself be responsible for difficulty in selecting gears, as not only does it suffer wear and tear, it can also become bent, not allowing the full actuation of the clutch release bearing, therefore not fully disengaging drive.

The reference is not currently catalogued on MAM Autocat+; however, the OE number has been provided as a cross-reference to help customers locate the part on the F:Drive. This recent addition joins the 3, already existing clutch release forks for Citroën, Peugeot and Fiat applications, previously introduced through the 360° team.

Sliding Door Roller Guides

FPS now stocks a range of top, centre and bottom roller guides for sliding doors. Mechanical rust and mountings wear are the most common reasons for the failure of these parts, making the doors sluggish or difficult to close. The VW Transporter sliding door has high usage and subsequently is a frequently failing part.

Highlights include:
V10-2476 for Audi-VW Caddy III (2010>)
V10-0914 for Audi-VW T4 (1994-1996)

Sliding door roller guides can be found on MAM Autocat+ and the F:Drive under:  Body & Trim > Panels.

All of these parts are available from FPS on same/next-day delivery. To enquire about a part not already stocked by FPS or to let us know about a new technology you have heard about or  a niche part you need, please email at 360@fpsdistribution.co.uk .
